About me…

I’m Dr. Frances Vidot-Hidalgo, a licensed bilingual psychologist passionate about creating inclusive, affirming spaces where individuals feel truly seen, heard, and supported. I provide telehealth therapy across Florida, integrating multiculturalism, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based practices to help clients navigate life’s challenges with greater resilience and clarity.

My journey as a psychologist began in Puerto Rico, where I completed my doctoral degree and began clinical work with children, young adults, and older adults. Since 2014, I have specialized in working with youth and young adults affected by trauma and adverse childhood experiences. This work deeply shaped my commitment to trauma-informed care and continues to guide my clinical perspective today.

I have received extensive training in evidence-based treatments throughout my career—including graduate school, a two-year postdoctoral fellowship, and ongoing professional development as a licensed psychologist. More recently, I have pursued specialized training in anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) to better serve the needs of my clients. I now specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (Ex/RP), Trauma-Focused CBT, and other exposure-based interventions for individuals experiencing trauma and/or anxiety-related symptoms.

Clients who work with me describe my style as warm, collaborative, and culturally attuned. I believe in showing up authentically and holding space for the full complexity of our experiences—including how our histories, identities, and environments shape our emotional lives. I’m especially passionate about working with those who may have felt overlooked or misunderstood in previous care settings.

Outside of therapy, I recharge through time in nature, slow mornings with a good latte, and meaningful moments with my family and our adventurous rescue pup. I’ve lived in Puerto Rico, Spain, Los Angeles, and now Florida—life experiences that have deeply influenced my worldview and clinical lens.

If you’re curious about working together, I’d be happy to connect for a brief consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
